Bob Tisdale illustrated this with his composite graph taken from NCDC Argo data (to to 2000m below the surface). According to Argo data, the Pacific Basin has shown no warming the last decade:

http://bobtisdale.wordpress.com/page/2/

In a post today, Bob made the obvious point that England now concedes: the GCMs do not model changes in ENSO/PDO. According to NOAA, the Pacific went into its Cold PDO phase back in 2007 (Professor Easterbrook said the mode change occurred in 2000). La Nina conditions will dominate ENSO until the PDO returns to its positive phase some time in the 2030s.

England himself said until recently years that changes in the Pacific Decadal Oscillation and ENSO do not have the impact that elevated concentrations of GHGs have on our climate. Now, that the "pause" is an unavoidable fact, the Alarmists are scurrying to find reasons. Trenbeth's quip a few years ago about hidden heat in the deep oceans has taken on an aura of desperation by others. We shall see many articles like this in coming months/years. And each of them will warn: Just wait. AGW will return at some later date with a vengeance. Jeromehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03626011064246752303noreply@blogger.com
