The sea level begins increasing when the ice age begins melting. It's now up 400+ feet. About 6,000 years ago the rate of increase began dropping. The rate of increase is now about 1.5mm per year (tidal gauge averages), or 3 mm per year NASA satellite determination. That minisule variation can't even be seen on that 12,000 year chart. Sea level is obviously topping out.GoFigure560https://www.blogger.com/profile/09229689742161104368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-76132020911394192942017-01-24T13:32:14.245-08:002017-01-24T13:32:14.245-08:00The alarmists have weak, if any rebuttals for all...The alarmists have weak, if any rebuttals for all the conflicting evidence. Mostly they just DENY it (ironically) claiming it's BS, and rejecting referemces to any site as "biased". (Of course, no bias at THEIR sites.)
Their perspective can make no distinction between this temperature hiatus and the MWP. Alarmists declare the MWP wasn't global and wasn't as warm as now. This is because they cannot explain why (1) temperature increases when co2 levels are constant, and (2) why temperature does not increase during sustained periods of increasing co2 level. In their rebuttal of the MWP they also add some strange restriction, limiting global warming to "multi-decadel" . But, if that's the case, they've just restricted the current global warming duration to 1975 to 2016 since there was a cooling from the 1940s to 1975.
And, as it turns out, all they've really got is 1975 to 1998 (two decades) and and argument that temperatures have risen which is based on the powerful 2015/16 el Nino. That is however, quickly dissipating and will likely be followed by a la Nina.
Obviously that same multi-decadel demand disqualifies the current warming (such as it is), if the hiatus is real.
But, back to the MWP. Those 6,000+ boreholes (Joanne Nova website) appear to conclusively show the MWP trend was global. Then there are two receding glaciers which recently exposed 1,000+ year old trees and trees no longer grow at those latitudes anywhere near those sites. (Mendenhall in Alaska and another glacier in the Alps.) PLus, there's the gisp2 Greenland study, and there doesn't seem to be much of a problem finding MWP studies (via co2science.org), some of which specifically show temperatures at least as high as now, and such sites are, just as Greenland and Alaska, distant from one another and also remote from Europe, so scattered around the globe. If that is not adequate to prove the MWP was a global phenomenon and at least as warm as today, it certain casts serious doubts on the dubious unjustified claim that the MWP was not global and not as warm as now.
GoFigure560https://www.blogger.com/profile/09229689742161104368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-49443507225649926012016-01-19T03:17:26.991-08:002016-01-19T03:17:26.991-08:00Sea level rise has been remarkably consistent sinc...Sea level rise has been remarkably consistent since the 1800s: Google this search: NOAA Battery Sea Level. See a chart of a straight-line elevation increase, If there were impact from burning hydrocarbons it would surely show in those data. It does not. World population has increased from 1 billion to 7 billion in that time period. Burning of hydrocarbons has undoubtedly increased at a higher rate.
