BTW raptors and bats are killed by wind turbines to a much greater extent than any factor you list.

Whoa, one of your religious brethren understands the futility of wind power:

http://bravenewclimate.com/2011/04/21/energy-debates-in-wonderland/MShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714540297202434542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-65741204493064452162011-04-20T23:33:26.969-07:002011-04-20T23:33:26.969-07:00Consider the 97-976 million birds killed a year by...Consider the 97-976 million birds killed a year by buildings, 500,000 killed by house cats, 500,000 by oil spills, 80 million by cars, and many more due to air and water pollution... 440,000 doesn't seem that large of a number anymore, does it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-56508368257784321872011-03-16T18:43:29.348-07:002011-03-16T18:43:29.348-07:00Sure, yes, I will do my best to publiciseSure, yes, I will do my best to publiciseMShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714540297202434542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-572731166374507502011-03-16T18:03:18.888-07:002011-03-16T18:03:18.888-07:00Every year, as many as four hundred thousand birds...Every year, as many as four hundred thousand birds are killed in America by electricity-generating wind turbines, but they do not make the cover of Time.

This is something that needs to be remedied.

At Altamont the turbines are set at a distant remove from cameramen and prying eye, by design I think. Razer wire fence and padlocked gates.
The SOB's don't want any inconvenient truths to get out.

But I'm thinking windfarms that irritate neighborhoods in such locals as Texas and Oklahoma might be closer to where people live and conducive to photo journalism.

Would a Craigslist ad help? If I could sus out some disgruntled windmill victims and convince them that pictures of bird kills would help them to evict the irksome turbines, would you be interested in publishing such?papertigerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05233780822178325215noreply@blogger.com
