A review of 30,000 installations in Europe by the German solar monitoring firm Meteocontrol found 80 percent were underperforming. --Todd Woody, The New York Times, 29 May 2013

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/29/business/energy-environment/solar-powers-dark-side.html?_r=0MShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714540297202434542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-46492985224179373002013-05-28T15:12:44.674-07:002013-05-28T15:12:44.674-07:00http://hockeyschtick.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-rene...http://hockeyschtick.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-renewable-energy-reality-check.htmlMShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714540297202434542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-42185050122451343382013-05-28T14:42:08.612-07:002013-05-28T14:42:08.612-07:00http://theenergycollective.com/geoffrey-styles/228...http://theenergycollective.com/geoffrey-styles/228741/can-energy-storage-make-wind-and-solar-power-reliable-coal?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=The+Energy+Collective+%28all+posts%29&utm_content=Google+ReaderMShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714540297202434542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4142988674703954802.post-37363471234582034092013-05-24T07:52:20.274-07:002013-05-24T07:52:20.274-07:00No, it isn't. Batteries are used in 5% of installations now meaning they add nothing to energy payback time. All your assumption are incorrect, as is your conclusion. Energy payback isn't the life of the panels. It's 1 to 2 years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
