Climate textbook explains why man-made CO2 does not control atmospheric CO2

Climate scientist Dr. Murry Salbyprofessor and Climate Chair at Macquarie University, Australia explains in the 2012 edition of his textbook, Physics of the Atmosphere and Climate, why changes in global temperature control CO2 levels, not man-made CO2. The text corroborates the works of Humlum et alFrölicher et al, and Francey et al demonstrating that man-made CO2 is not the driver of atmospheric CO2 or global temperatures.

As stated by Professor Judith Curry,

"If Salby’s analysis holds up, this could revolutionize AGW science."

  2. CO2 is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition. It absorbs 1/7th as much IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which has 80 times as many molecules capturing 560 times as much heat making 99.8% of all "global warming." CO2 does only 0.2% of it. For this we should destroy our economy?

Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.

See The Two Minute Conservative via Google or: http://adrianvance.blogspot.com then when you speak ladies will swoon and liberal gentlemen will weep.

  3. Of course, the computer models already blame it mostly on water vapor (but their factor is between 2 and 3 times that of co2). They'll be quick to jump on this new "factor" of 560, but the projections may not look too good.

    1. Water vapor has in fact declined, the opposite of computer model predictions:
